Solar and Wind Are Leading the Transition

Solar and wind energy remain the main drivers behind the rapid expansion of renewable
electricity.
These technologies can often be installed more quickly than large conventional power plants.
Solar energy also provides greater flexibility because systems can be developed at different
scales, ranging from rooftop installations for individual homes to large solar parks supplying
electricity to industries and cities.
The continued growth of solar and wind demonstrates that renewable energy is no longer limited
to environmental initiatives. It has become an important part of economic planning, industrial
development, infrastructure investment and national energy security.
For households and businesses, solar power offers the additional benefit of generating electricity
directly at the property where it is consumed. This can reduce dependence on grid electricity and
provide greater control over long-term energy expenses.
